New Renault Duster 2026 Launching in India Tomorrow: Price, Features, Engines and Everything You Need to Know

The much-awaited new-generation Renault Duster 2026 is finally set to launch in India on March 17, 2026. The SUV that once revolutionized the mid-size SUV segment in India is returning with a completely new design, advanced technology, and multiple powertrain options.

Bookings for the SUV have already started across India for ₹21,000, and the model is expected to be priced between ₹9.50 lakh and ₹19 lakh (ex-showroom). With modern styling, powerful turbo engines, and hybrid technology, the new Duster aims to compete directly with popular SUVs like the Kia Seltos and the upcoming Tata Sierra.

Aggressive Design and Bold SUV Styling

The 2026 Duster features a more muscular and modern design compared to its predecessor. The SUV carries a strong road presence with several new styling elements.

Key exterior highlights include:

  • LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs
  • Bold “Duster” lettering on the front grille
  • Chunky silver skid plates on front and rear bumpers
  • Black wheel arch cladding and roof rails
  • C-shaped LED tail lamps with connected light bar
  • Integrated roof spoiler with high-mounted stop lamp

The SUV also offers multiple colour options such as Jade Mountain Green, Pearl White, Moonlight Silver, Stealth Black, River Blue, and Sunset Red, along with possible dual-tone variants.

Another important highlight is its 212mm ground clearance, making it capable of handling rough Indian roads and mild off-road conditions.

Modern Interior with Dual Screens and Premium Features

Inside the cabin, the new Duster gets a completely redesigned interior that looks modern and tech-focused.

The dashboard features a dual-screen setup, including:

  • 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • 10.25-inch digital driver display

The infotainment system runs Renault’s OpenR multimedia platform with built-in Google services, offering improved connectivity and smart features.

Other major comfort and convenience features include:

  • Panoramic sunroof
  • 6-way powered and ventilated front seats
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Ambient lighting with 48 color options
  • Wireless smartphone charging
  • Type-C charging ports
  • Powered tailgate
  • 360-degree camera with 3D view
  • 518-litre boot space

These upgrades place the new Duster firmly among the most feature-loaded SUVs in its segment.

Engine Options and Performance

The 2026 Duster will come with three engine options, giving buyers a choice between performance and efficiency.

1.0-litre Turbo Petrol

  • Power: 102 bhp
  • Torque: 160 Nm
  • Transmission: 6-speed manual

1.3-litre Turbo Petrol

  • Power: 163 bhp

  • Battery: 1.4 kWh enabling EV-mode driving

The hybrid variant is expected to arrive around the festive season later this year.

The SUV will also feature Eco, Comfort, and Perso driving modes, along with an engine start-stop system for better efficiency.

Safety and ADAS Technology

Safety is another major highlight of the new Duster. The SUV will come equipped with six airbags and a Level 2 ADAS system.

The ADAS suite includes up to 17 safety features, such as:

  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Lane keep assist
  • Traffic sign recognition
  • Emergency braking assistance

Additionally, the SUV offers a 360-degree camera system, improving visibility while parking or driving in tight spaces.

Expected Price and Variants

The new Duster will likely be available in multiple variants, including:

  • Authentic
  • Evolution
  • Techno
  • Emotion
  • Iconic Edition

Expected price range:

  • ₹9.49 lakh – ₹19 lakh (ex-showroom)

With this pricing strategy, Renault is aiming to attract both budget SUV buyers and premium mid-size SUV customers.

Why the New Duster Is Important for Renault

The original Renault Duster played a huge role in popularizing the mid-size SUV category in India more than a decade ago. With the new generation model, Renault is attempting to regain its position in the competitive SUV market.

Thanks to its aggressive design, modern technology, strong turbo engines, and hybrid option, the new Duster could once again become a strong contender in the segment when it launches tomorrow.
